Megan Stewart, Sam Hayden and Avery Bedford take a break while attending Big Stuf Camp in Panama City, Florida. These Wyoming kids were amazed by what humidity did to their hair!

Avery holds her little friend, Billy, who she met on our family trip to the Dominican.
The tiny fishing village of Boca Yuma. We are always searching for ways to leave the beaten path and we traveled here by guagua, the local bus. We all fell in love with the Dominican people, and we’re praying about taking the teenagers there on a baseball mission trip this year..
Okay, I know this looks crazy, but it's summer in the Tetons! This is early summer and the girls hiked up to Ski Lake, thinking they could swim. Ha!
Avery and her Aunt Jill kayaking on the Nehalem River. We scattered Jack’s mother’s ashes in Oregon, on her favorite ancient tree. Kayaking was a special part of our day.
Besides going to ASU, Jeff has been spending plenty of time writing lyrics, composing beats and performing hip-hop music with his group, Bio-Mecca. Here he is performing with his friend Craig Williams (left) at the Mangy Moose in Teton Village.
This is the last night before we left Jeff to his own devices at Arizona State. Look at the expression on my child’s face. You think he’s ready to get rid of the parents, or what? Our friend in the blue shirt, sitting by Avery, is Ben Linn, Olaus’s dad.
Jeff ready to pull out for college. That’s been one of the hardest things for me this year, not listening for his car to pull into the driveway at night, expecting him to come home.
With Julie, Jack’s sister, on our trip to honor Mollie Bedford in Oregon. This is the beach at Netarts, which inspired many of the scenes for Remember Me.
From left to right, Tom Wild, Corky Walker and Jack Bedford, great fish hunters all, out to test their prowess on the waters of the San Juan River.

Oakley, our big, fuzzy, beloved rug, testing his prowess on his favorite treasure, the ball.

Jack on horseback in the Dominican. This is a rare sight, indeed! He spent much more time in the hammock than he did in the saddle!
Jeff and Avery in Grandma Mollie’s tree. Jeff is six-feet tall, so that gives you an idea how big this thing is. It is a beautiful spot. The tree’s lower branches are interwoven with holly berries and ferns.
The Monday-morning Covenant Group celebrating high tea (complete with hats) at Maggie Armstrong’s house. These are the women I bare my soul to. We pray together, laugh together, study together, cry together. They’ve also known to give me wise advice on a book manuscript or two. It is my prayer that each of you finds a group of women like this. It is so important to be vulnerable with others, and to share your faith struggles.
Ah, ha! At last. The most spoiled member of the Bedford clan. Here is Miss Annie, enjoying her latest gifts.
