Two beloved authors bring you novellas celebrating motherhood, faith and family.

The Hair Ribbons by Deborah Bedford

The blue hair ribbons her mother gave her as a child saw Theia Harkin McKinnis through hard times. Now, facing the illness that took her mother, Theia longs to find the missing ribbons for her own daughters. Where Theia finds them-and with what-will change her forever.

Unforgettable by Linda Goodnight

Carrie Martin has a wonderful life-a loving husband, a sweet daughter and a feisty mother. But suddenly her mom can't remember little things.then big things. Shaken by the loss of family memories, Carrie turns to the Lord. And discovers what can't be forgotten.

Sarah Harper is driven to achieve success no matter what the cost. She wants to do good and not hurt the people she loves--especially children and her husband, Joe--but her desire to succeed in her career too often leaves little time for family.
One cold, autumn afternoon, all of that changes when Sarah's car plunges off a bridge and into a river. She is presumed dead by those on the "outside," but Sarah's spirit is still very much alive. What she discovers on the other side transforms everything about Sarah's view of life--past, present, and future.
When Sarah is revived, she is a changed woman. And the unsuspecting world around her will never be the same again.

Debbi's Newsletter

Hi All!

Have you signed up to receive Debbi's newsletters? If not, then I suggest that you take the time now to do so. I thought that it would be great for you to get a peak at one of her latest (April) newsletters. So here it is Debbi's latest newsletter. ----Louise

I guess it's crazy to be excited about fresh snow when it's this late in the season, after Easter! But I can't help it. I've just gotten back from a long walk with the dogs and the snowflakes coming down are as big around as doilies. Clean, fresh lines etch every limb of every tree. Until today, we've had big banks of graying, old snow and, this morning, everything is new again. I can't get Psalm 51:7 out of my head as I sit writing and looking out the window. "Wash me and I will be whiter than snow!" Because, this time the snow melts, we'll have green grass sprouting beneath and crocuses poking through and red-winged blackbirds visiting the feeders. Our taxes are almost finished, I'm so glad Jack can see an end in sight to this chore; it brings such a sense of dread to him and I know it does to so many others. Meanwhile we have this snow, which will melt into a new season and a new beginning, which symbolizes everything we can have in the Lord. I'm ready for it, how about you?

Here's the latest news on the publishing front. Family Matters, my latest rewrite from an old Harlequin Superromance, in on the newsstands now. I completed my latest solo book, His Other Wife, on New Year's Day. It still needs one more edit, though, before I'm ready to release it. I felt the need to put it aside and finish writing this next book with Joyce, Any Minute, which is due completed by August 31 and will be released in Summer 2009. Movie plans for The Penny were greatly affected by the writers strike, even though we had a script, the studio was unwilling to go forward without a writer on the set. I'll let you know when things get moving again. Meanwhile, I can't share too many details as yet, but it looks like A Rose By The Door may also be up for a movie option. A studio has contacted us, we're in negotiation, and all this is made twice as much fun because my dear friend, Maria Lennon, has written a beautiful screenplay based on the book and the studio loves her work.

Mostly, I wanted to get in touch and say thanks for all your letters and e-mails. I love to hear from you. Friend, I am so honored being able to share your personal lives this way, your stories of God's unwavering faithfulness, your journeys and your struggles as you walk along the road to Zion. Remember that you are Jesus' dearest love, He doesn't just tolerate you because you're one of his. He adores you and he is beside you on the journey and he wants you to turn and talk to him and be honest and real about your emotions. Ever stop to think how open and honest David was about all his emotions in the Psalms? Well now, it's your turn. The Father, through Jesus Christ, will bring wisdom into your heart. Be bold and ask!

We've just returned from building a house between Tecate and Tijuana, Mexico. La Casa Mission is a small and effective effort, fourteen people from three churches in northwestern Wyoming, many of them builders, make the trek once a year and build a sturdy, snug house. This year, because of the generosity of people here in the Tetons, we were able to go on a second trip and build two homes. I've included pictures because they speak louder than words. I hope they steal your heart away. I miss my friend, Pilar, and her beautiful family, David, Laura, Sarah, Miguelito and Monica so much today that I'm getting a little teary just writing this. We'll return to visit soon.

I cherish you. It makes me happy, having you in my life. Know that I continue to pray for you. Keep me informed about what the Lord is doing in your life! And I love to have your prayers over my writing projects, too. More news soon. I promise. Now, as they say in Tecate, 'A Dios te bendiga.' Bezos y abrazos, Deborah
