Well, now that the holidays are behind us and we are in the middle of winter, what better way to spend our time then to read a book. Currently, I am reading Only You by Deborah Bedford. I am really enjoying this book and the characters in it. If you haven’t had a chance to read an excerpt, why don’t you go to Debbi’s web page. As soon as I’m done reading the book I’ll let you know what I think, but in the mean time here are some reviews that you may be interested in reading.

Bedford's latest is a sweet love story with some interesting turns of events. Emily's career change and journey to understanding about family and faith is meaningful, but the plot is rather predictable. Overall, though, it's a pleasant novel.

Summary: Emily Lattrell is a spitfire when it comes to her job as a copywriter. Yet she longs for something more in her life, and when she meets Philip Manning, she thinks he might be it. Philip introduces her to his brother and his children, who have been barely managing on their own since their wife and mother has been in a coma.
Emily quits her job and goes to work with Absolutely Moms, getting placed with Philip's brother's family as a temporary "mom." As Philip and Emily grow closer, they realize that they both have past hurts and disappointments that they must overcome before pursuing a relationship.

Review Only You by Mobipocket readers gives this book 4 out of 5 stars
I think it is wonderful that Debbi is spending so much time rewriting these books. They have become uplifting Christian books that are bringing glory to God. The original title of this book was A Distant Promise. I was thinking of all the wonderful Christian illustrations that I can come up with when thinking about this book. The first is the name change. Just like Debbi has giving this book a new name someday God will give each of us new names. (Rev 2:17) Also, Debbi has made this into a Christian novel. Every day through His spirit we can become more and more like Jesus. This process is called sanctification. It is a big word but it just means that we are becoming more like Christ in our thoughts and actions. It is a process that last for our entire lifetime. Just like Debbi is changing her past books, Christ wants to change you to become more like Him. It is wonderful and awesome. Some of my favorite texts about this can be found in Zech 3:1-7; Ezekiel 36:25-29; Isaiah 1:18; Psalms 51; Isaiah 64:8
